- Another world first for Murraypro, "EZ4-3.5" High resolution QUAD 4:3 in 2U format. Designed for applications where 4:3 heritage pictures must be monitored with correct geometry, it will will be found useful where picture quality is all-important. EZ4-3.5 is ideal for compact and space limited applications, fitting within a 2U rack envelope, yet only 70mm deep, this versatile product finds ready use in applications ranging from Field flyaway kit to Base Edit Suites.
The small size of the 3.5" LCD screen is deceptive with regard to the quality of the image produced, and the significantly enhanced screen resolution renders individual pixels all but invisible. The LCD's pictures are highly watchable, even for extended periods, as pixel interpolation is performed cleanly and smoothly, with the image being agreeably bright.
Front panel selection between two video inputs is standard, as is the PAL/NTSC auto-switching. Image cut off is almost imperceptable, and the EZ4-3.5 may be relied upon to show discerning viewers the whole picture, in both the vertical and horizontal plane. A particularly pleasing feature of the chosen LCD, is the very small amount of horizontal cut-off, and so virtually nothing is lost from the picture displayed. Each LCD's input signal is selectable between dual Composite (CVBS) or CVBS + SDI (when specified). EZ4-3.5 can accomodate 4 internal SDI input cards. High impedance looping inputs may be specified, which replace the standard 75 ohm input terminations.
A major feature of this dimunitive LCD monitor, only 2U high & 7 cm deep, is the internal "universal" power supply which totally eliminates external PSU boxes. An Ext +12 V utility input is provided for battery operation. The EZ4-3.5 is housed in a steel case, which affords a high level of protection for the monitor. A whisper quiet fan is fitted to ensure that the EZ4-3.5 runs cool, even when fitted with the optional SDI input cards and operated under adverse conditions. Naturally we have also fitted our robust anti-glare protective front window to each LCD, ensuring maximum operational protection.
The EZ4-3.5 front panel is equipped with 4 RED Tally lamps, designed to interface with open collector logic or a normally open contact set, but a multicoloured (R,Y,G) option is available too.
Options
Optionally: A red/yellow/green multi-colour Tally lamp mode is available.
Optionally: The switched dual BNC inputs, at 75 ohms, may be replaced with a single video input suitable for high-impedance looping. The front panel input selector switch is blanked off.
