Mini-Mon2

Stereo PPM, LSA & HP in only 1U
Mini-Mon contains the essential audio monitoring facilities required by light weight Flyaway kit Crews, and is ideal for use in S/ENG vehicles and general service in TV Centres.
Switching between two stereo Groups routes the selected source to dual PPMs which, with their fast attack and slow decay times, enable very accurate monitoring of audio levels.
Stereo phase is continously policed by "Traffic Light" logic, which snaps a green LED to red immediately trouble is detected; whilst peak LEDs indicate any level in excess of +8.15dBU.
Whilst modest in OP power, and not intended for specification in areas of high ambient noise, the Mini-Mon's internal loudspeakers, fed via split A1 & A2 volume controls, develop an output SPL that comands respect, and is entirely satisfactory for non-critical monitoring purposes. Naturally, with such small loudspeakers, and modest mechanical separation, the stereo image is liable to some compromise, and is not suggested as suitable for full quality checking.
Use of the Headphone jack, which does offer full frequency response, mutes the internal loudspeakers. A degree of protection against high SPL with the headphones is achieved with the current limited drive to the transducers. A Utility output of the LS drive is available for use either with external passive loudspeakersvia with a rear panel switch to mute the internal loudspeakers, or as an input to externally powered active loudspeakers.
Interfacing the Mini-Mon2 into an installation is easy and straightforward as audio may be looped through on discrete complimentary sex XLR3, and onto other equipment if required.Naturally, the Mini-Mon2 has a high input impedance, and may be used un-balanced if required. Non-standard audio levels being accomodated via internal multi-turn preset gain controls. A gain variation of greater than +/- 10dB is available.
