SDI to Video
VERY Low Cost, monitoring quality SDI -Video Converter
for TV Monitor Use
Murraypro has developed this elegant, low cost, generic 8 Bit SDI-Demodulator to complement our multi-screen Octo-Vu, but it is ideal for all applications where a slightly relaxed specification is acceptable.
These diminutive circuit boards are supplied singly or as required,
to stack with pleasing cost effectiveness, within the 1U Frame.
Murraypro's Cat: 399 Card completely satisfies the requirements of a monitoring quality SDI Encoder, producing base band video signals of impressive quality. An on board DIP switch enables dynamic selection between ANY of these video formats:-
1) Component Video (Y, Cr, Cb)
2) Red, Green & Blue (R, G+s, B).
3) Luminance + Chrominance (SVHS)
4) Encoded, Composite Video. (CVBS)
To either 525 or 625 TV Standard.
The 8 bit output video signals are passed through a relaxed specification interpolation filter, and brought out to the rear panel. Multiway connectors are used with those TV formats that require more than one simultaneous video output connection, thereby reducing the number of individual cables that would require plugging. The D-9 connector is not required when using CVBS video format, as the second BNC (upper) is configured to automatically carry this output signal.
Murraypro provide proprietory detector circuitry that monitors the input SDI signal, flagging certain errors. The individual logic flags may be directly interfaced with the respective TX Tally lamp on the Octo-Vu, providing additional confirmation of a fault, should that embarrassing "blank grey screen" appear.
The Cat:399 cards, which provide automatic cable equalisation for a minimum of 100M cable, require only a single +5V power supply, and are only 65 x 38mm nominal size.
