Compact 4.5" LCD weatherproof monitor

Mounted in an extruded aluminium housing, and fully sealed to IP 65 standard, Uni-Vu4 is a highly compact LCD monitor suitable for on-camera use in exterior locations using either external power or the on-board battery. Murraypro ensure that only professional quality components are present on the Uni-Vu4, there being no place for flimsy pre-set potentiometers or low-cost slide switches on a Product for Broadcast Users.

The powerful "AUTO-OFF" feature monitors for the presence of video, dramatically cutting power consumption to about 1% when the video signal is lost or removed; ideal when monitoring a de-powered camera.

Uni-Vu4 is designed for use with either an external supply or on-board batteries, and may be ordered with either a PAG or V-Clamp battery plate. Designed for commonly available power sources, external input power is drawn via a fully sealed panel mount connector, with protection provided against reverse polarity. The internal high efficiency Switch Mode Power Supply Unit ensures stable operation with input voltages fluctuating between +18 to +9V; ensuring that Uni-Vu4 is precisely matched to the popular Lithium Ion, and the older Nickel Metal Hydride, Nickel Cadmium and Lead Acid chemistry range of accumulators over their "full-charge" to "total discharge" operational voltage range. Drawing about 330mA at +12V, Uni-Vu4 can be expected to operate for up to 25 hours on a single 100WHour battery.

Supplied with it's complimentary hood, Uni-Vu4 offers high contrast & brightness pictures viewed through a 2mm thick polycarbonate window which has been specially treated to reduce glare and to protect against day-to-day scuffing. Uni-Vu4 really is at home in 'real world' conditions, with it's own weatherproof case protecting it even from direct rain.
