Compact LCD the answer to your requirement for flexible HD/SD Monitoring in a compact unit, ideal for Flyaway Kit, Edit Suites and CARs, which may be used either free-standing or racked in a 1/2 width 3U "WFM" chassis frame to provide comprehensive and cost effective monitoring facilities.
A major feature of the Compact-LCD is the 16 Channel Histogram. Menu options allow selection of the Histogram's Graticule scaling to cover PPM, Nordic, Digital or VU requirements.
Audio monitoring is facilitated by “Touch Latch” pre-selection of the selected Group, with sub-selection of the stereo pair to be listened to. A separate Menu selection can configure the Histogram display from 16 channel, to 'twin stereo display burnt into picture', with the two stereo pairs following the selected Group.
Compact LCD is normally supplied for free standing operation in it's smart slip on sleeve-cover, which facilitates totally self-contained stereo speaker monitoring, surprising on equipment of this size. Two integral 'broad-side' speakers provide 8+8 Watt stereo monitoring, and hinged "acoustic reflectors" direct the sound forward to the Listener for Higher Fi; a major bonus that may obviate the requirement for the separate installation of a pair of powered monitor loudspeakers. These robust reflectors then fold flat against the side for storage or transportation, a neat feature appreciated by those used to repeated ‘Location Build-ups’.
When Compact LCD is used rack mounted, it continues to provide integral speaker monitoring. Racking limitations however restrict this to a single 8W front facing speaker driven from a monaural-mix channel, with independent Left or Right Channel muting.
When jacked, the (level-limited) Headphone socket mutes the loudspeaker(s) drive to provide high quality private stereo monitoring.
In addition to the dual equalised and reclocked HD/SD SDI loop-outputs, a useful feature of the Compact-LCD is the rear panel 4 Ch balanced XLR OPs of the selected Group. The front panel volume control is fully buffered, and a balanced stereo analogue OP is also available at the rear panel on XLR3s, for use with external powered loudspeakers if required.
